Inter maintained their perfect start to the Serie A season with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Cagliari, while Napoli suffered a surprising 2-1 defeat at home to Como. In another fixture, Lazio secured their second consecutive win with a narrow 1-0 triumph over Genoa.

Çalhanoğlu's Stunner Decides Inter-Cagliari Clash

The match at the Sardegna Arena was settled in the ninth minute when Turkish midfielder Hakan Çalhanoğlu unleashed a powerful strike from outside the box that nestled into the bottom corner. Cagliari goalkeeper Elia Caprile got a hand to the ball but could not keep it out.

Inter dominated long stretches of the game but failed to convert their chances into a more comfortable lead. Lautaro Martínez came close to doubling the advantage with a fierce shot, while Caprile made a crucial save to deny Federico Dimarco. The Cagliari keeper also kept his team in the contest by blocking a second-half effort from Pio Esposito.

At the other end, the hosts nearly equalized, but Inter defender Yan Bisseck intervened to clear a powerful shot from Michel Adopo.

The win lifted Inter to six points from two matches, joining Milan, Juventus, and Lazio at the top of the table with a perfect record.

Como Stun Napoli at the Maradona

At the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium, Como struck early when Martin Baturina opened the scoring in the 17th minute. The midfielder received a pass from Assane Diao and slotted the ball into the bottom corner.

Napoli responded in the 30th minute through Rasmus Højlund, who collected the ball on the edge of the box, created space for himself, and fired a low shot into the far corner to level the match.

However, Como regained the lead just four minutes later, capitalizing on a defensive error from André Anguissa. Baturina intercepted the ball before it reached Tasos Douvikas, who then scored what proved to be the winning goal for the visitors.

Napoli coach Massimiliano Allegri made three substitutions ten minutes into the second half, but Cesc Fàbregas’s side held on to secure their first victory of the season. Como moved to four points, while Napoli remained on three.

Lazio Edge Genoa

In another match, Lazio recorded their second consecutive win with a 1-0 result against Genoa, thanks to a goal from Davide Frattesi in the 25th minute.
